Playing magic the gathering and preparing for Wave and Edge

Have started playing Magic The Gathering again. I used to play on the pro tour, and it took up a big portion of my life for two years. I loved travelling around the world playing cards and meeting the same players all over the world.

My first Pro Tour was Pro tour New Orleans, I had started playing 5 months earlier and the pro tour was in the extended format, which ment I had to go through 10.000 new cards. I remember I won my first 6 matches and was number 3 on the overall standings. Didn’t go that well after that, met a lot of french guys that I had playtested with and they had prepared too well for my deck, but it was an amazing experience. It was before Cathrina and I remember New Orleans had some great goth shops.

My second Pro tour was in Osaka, I was so jetlagged that I barely knew what I was doing, but we went to Tokyo and I loved the Harajuku district. Can’t complain about a free trip to Japan.

World Championships Magic the Gathering

My third Pro tour Was the world Championships in San Fransisco. I had finished second in the Norwegian championships and on the world championships they even give you 1000 dollars in pocket money just to participate plus free plane tickets.

My fourth was my favourite. Philadelphia, not beacause of the city, but I ended up in 11th place and won a lot of money. I should have gotten to the quarter final, but did a small mistake in tha last match, so I ended up 13-3 instead of 14-2.

My last pro tour was in London during the subway terror. We met people that had just witnessed the bombing and where totally shell shocked.

Every time I start playing again I win so much. I haven’t lost the last 6 matches and just lost 2 the last 18 matches I have played. I didn’t know how much I have missed playing. It clears up my head to be so focused on something I like, and I feel like I exercise my brain;)

Really looking forward to Wave Gotik treffen in the end of the month and meeting La Carmina there and in Prague. I think it is so funny that she made a program about the Norwegian prince Ari Behn in Japan;)

Also working hard to fill up the store with clothing. We started producing in december an order we still haven’t got, so now we are moving some of the production to a new factory that seems amazing.
